Mindful Awareness Stabilization Training
The Mindful Awareness Stabilization Training (MAST) program is a 4-week workshop that introduces people who are suffering from anxiety and/or mild depression to mindfulness practices. This program was developed by St. Michael’s Hospital and sponsored by the Bell Let's Talk mental health initiative. MAST teaches emotion regulation skills and mindfulness practices to help participants feel more balanced and present in their daily lives. This is an educational workshop and does not replace the advice of your healthcare provider. No referral is needed.
What happens in a workshop?
Participants are encouraged to take an active role in developing a personal self-care action plan.
Who should attend the workshop?
Adults living with anxiety and/or mild depression as well as their family, friends and/or caregivers. This program is available in English only.
What does it cost to attend?
FREE to all! Participants will be provided with all workshop materials.
How long is the workshop?
Participants meet once a week for 1.5 hours over 4 weeks.
Who leads the workshop?
The workshop is led by two trained peer leaders, one or both of whom are a trained health professional.
